As Jordan made its historic World Cup debut against Argentina, Downtown Arlington’s Levitt Pavilion transformed into a vibrant celebration of culture, music, and pride for the three-day “Visit Jordan Experience.” The event caught the eye of major media outlets across the region. Thousands of fans gathered to celebrate Jordanian heritage right in the heart of Texas.
Yet, the defining moment of the entire weekend came just before kickoff, when Arlington welcomed a truly distinguished global leader: His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.
A Perfect Intersection of Two Homes
For anyone who has followed my journey, you know that my identity is deeply rooted in two places. I was born in Jordan, and the rich heritage, values, and culture of my homeland have always been a foundational guide for my life and business philosophy.
However, I have spent two-thirds of my life right here in Texas. This is where I built my career, grew my businesses, and embedded myself into the fabric of the local community. Texas is my home.
To see these two worlds converge so perfectly was a profound honor. Welcoming King Abdullah II to Arlington wasn’t just a high-profile diplomatic visit—it was a deeply personal, full-circle moment. Standing in the heart of the Texas community I love, greeting the monarch of the nation where my story began, brought a wave of immense pride.
